| An OUTSTANDING debut novel that has me lacking for the right words to explain what I’m feeling right now. Going into this all I knew was that it was about hockey and that this was the author’s debut novel. I was hooked from the first page, a few pages later my feelings were involved and by a few chapters I was pulled from reality and placed into a world full of Love & Hockey. I had an instant connection to Valor that was beyond any character I have ever read some parts of her life would be the same words in my life story. Valor and Bishop’s connection was evident from the start and seeing it slowly evolve into more was just as Bishop described these 2 were magic. They had friendship first and that always makes for entertaining banter. Bishop had a master’s degree in dirty talk and when he was ready he brought a whole lot of swoon. These characters played with my emotions like a conductor of an orchestra there were moments I was mad at both of them and moments I wanted to hug them, my heart broke and healed right along with the characters. This is without question one of the best debut novels I have ever read. Monty J absolutely nailed a captivating storyline, main characters that are relatable and entertaining along with the secondary characters that I am already looking forward to reading. It was an honor to read this debut and I’m excited to see what’s to come!! I clearly found the words I thought I was lacking. |
