This was my first book by this author and I’m already planning on reading her back list ASAP.
Calli was sassy, sweet, and she had an inner strength that amazed me. She had been trying to cope with a devastating loss and drowning in grief but even then she had her head held high while she followed through on a promise made.
Zach was an alphahole, some of which was for good reason, he was full of anger and a bit of resentment and the moment he sees Calli on campus all of his burning anger gets directed at her.
The chemistry between Zach and Calli was an inferno of hate, anger, betrayal, and love. Their second chance began on the hate side of the thin line but beneath the angry words and heated glares the deeper connection they shared was palpable.
Zach and Calli were both doing what they could to make it through the day while they dealt with the heartbreaking realities. The emotions the characters felt seeped through my kindle and carved their way into my heart. Their souls were so intertwined at times they didn’t even need to utter a word for the other to understand them.
The secondary characters had me hook, line, and sinker. I’m already looking to reading more about them in this series.
On The Rebound was engrossing from beginning to end. A masterful blend of love, hate, alphahole hero, sassy heroine, all the feels, swoon, and steam.
