ONLY ONE REGRET by Natasha Madison ~ Review

Only One Regret turned me into a mess of heart eyes with a gooey Grant family center, our mini-Cooper proves that he not only lives up to his namesake but manages to make it his own.

Natasha Madison never fail to astound me; she has a way of creating worlds that make you feel at home, like a breath of fresh air on a hot summer day or a warm embrace; all of these things instill comfort inside you, and when you open one of her books, you will find the love of family awaiting you.

Cooper is witty and charming, just like the men in his family, and once he opened his eyes to the woman who had been by his side for years, nothing, not even her, could keep them apart. And, as we’ve all seen, once the Grant men set their sights on something, if their charm doesn’t seal the deal, they’re willing to use anything in their arsenal to get what they want, and what a pleasurable (wink) experience it is.

Erika is sassy and sweet, but she can also command a room and contend with team owners to get her clients the best contract. She and Cooper had been best friends for years, and they were both in the dark about what everyone else saw, as if a spotlight was shining directly on them. That their friendship was fueled by the searing chemistry they shared, it was just a matter of time before it ignited.

Erika and Cooper’s transformation from friends to lovers felt completely natural; they had been nothing more than friends until a kiss that exuded an all-consuming chemistry. I adored their friendship; seeing the strength of it before they kissed was such a vivid view of the sizzle that emanated around them that they didn’t even realize it was there until their lips met..

It was so clear in the first pages that Cooper loved his daughters more than anything, and seeing Erika with his girls there was a palpable feeling that resonated inside me that the 4 of them were meant to be a family.

I felt as though mini-Cooper’s story had brought a full circle feeling to the Grant family, a single parent finding someone that loved their kids wholeheartedly, bringing a sense of peace that nestled inside one’s soul, a sense of home that resided in the person you love. Isn’t that how this family, whom we adore, came to be?

I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest, I giggled, I swooned, I fell in love, my stomach was brimming with fluttery butterflies, along with a lump forming in my throat as a tear leaked down my face. It was everything, and my heart needed this story. Inside a fictional world, I received the warmth of family, the love only parents can offer that is no longer my reality.

Only One Regret will have you fully immersed inside the Only One world in the first pages, keeping you captivated until the last word. I ignored reality and I have zero regrets. A compelling blend of all-consuming chemistry, a swoony hero, a sassy heroine, rife with witty banter, an abundance of heartwarming feels, and steam, enveloped inside a world that feels like home with a family that loves so profoundly you feel it even after you read the last word. Without question a top read of 2021 and my new favorite in the Only One series.
