This is an extremely vague review, as I did with the previous two books. Do yourself a favor and avoid looking for spoilers; you will be doing yourself and the story a disservice. “Just cancel real life, open the book, become enchanted, and brace yourself for an epic mind—-finale, and hot AF steam.”
I needed answers. Everything else faded away as soon as Ruthless Kingdom appeared on my Kindle; I needed answers. I needed something to cure the book hangover caused by Vicious Queen, and everything I needed was contained within the pages of Ruthless Kingdom.
So much happened in the previous books that my head was constantly spinning. Ruthless Kingdom was all of that and more. With a few words, I was whisked back into the world of the Boneyard Kings, where I remained until I devoured every word.
The pace is consistent with the previous books, and this author duo wove an intricate plot that left me speechless. Secrets are revealed, and more are exposed at every turn. Evil lurks around every corner, and these kings and their queen are on a mission to reveal the identities of every player on the board.
This world is nothing short of incredible. You’re enchanted with just a few words. Each word has a purpose, bringing this dark and twisted story to life and drawing you in deeper. The number of times I said, “wtf,” followed by a gasp, attested to this duo’s writing ability. I was completely at the mercy of their words, gasping in surprise, the hairs on my arms standing on end. I was as much a part of this story as the characters themselves. It was completely insane. It was highly addictive. This duo had better be just getting started.
Ruthless Kingdom reveals the full extent of Everly’s relationship with Cal, Saint, and Mateo. It had to be all of them, because they all had a piece of each other’s soul. The kingdom was incomplete until the three kings found their queen. They became one, the Merciless Kings, alongside their Vicious Queen, delivering ruthless vengeance and eradicating evil from their kingdom.
Ruthless Kingdom is a fantastically epic conclusion to the Boneyard Kings trilogy. A spellbinding combination of soul-searing chemistry, three ruthless kings, a vicious queen with a beautiful heart, witty banter, hair-raising twists and turns, muttered “wtfs” and whispered “omfg,” and hot AF steam. This combination has firmly established this trilogy as one of my all-time favorites.
