In the summer of 2018, I was very anxiously counting down to the release of a book in my all-time favorite series. I made sure everyone in my family knew the date and that, for all intents and purposes, I might as well be invisible to them on that day. I didn’t want any interruptions. I wanted to peacefully devour Talk Nerdy to Me by C.M. Owens.

In the days that followed the release, my husband was saying little things that sounded familiar, but it never crossed my mind that it was from the book I had just finished. On the third day, he made it obvious that he was in fact dropping little hints that he had read the book. Pretty swoony, right?
