The Best of Us was the book my heart needed today. Kendall and Ryan started out with glares and grumbled displeasure of being near one another but the sizzle of tension between them was strikingly clear.
I adored Kendall, she is kindness personified, witty, but also feisty, and bold. Ryan was intense at the start, but I swear, as you read you could feel the tension leave him, and he showed more of himself, he was charming, witty, and an incredibly dirty talker.
This was without question, Kennedy Fox’s hottest book to date. The moment the tension between Kennedy and Ryan combusted they took it from steamy to spicy. The way they clicked made me believe in the magic of the cabin. They shared witty banter, and drinking games with laughs and dirty talk. There were also moments that you could feel the emotions flowing between them that made my heart flutter.
Kennedy Fox imparted the pages of The Best of Us with beautifully written magic, reality faded away and I became immersed in the world they created. The perfect blend of intoxicating chemistry, swoon, sass, witty banter, laughs, feels, and an abundance of steam.
